This program is open to all CADORA BC members.
Any rider who receives an “8” for Rider Position in their collective marks at an Equine Canada - National (passport needed) show or HCBC Primary recognized show, will be eligible to receive a Rider “8” award. This award will identify the rider as someone who has achieved a very high standard of riding. There is no limit to the number of pins a person may receive.
Riders must submit copies of the test before November
1st of the current year.
The copy must show all of the collective scores, recognized show, date as well as the signature & printed name of the judge.
Tests can be submitted at any time before the deadline of November 1st. Please retain the original test copy for your records.
Tests can be mailed or faxed to:
Mrs. Claire Vessey,
3498 Maureen Terrace,
Victoria, BC V9C 3P7
Riders not registered with the BCYR Program must send a $10.00 fee per test, in order for the test to be considered for the “8” Lapel Pin. Cheques should accompany the test and made payable to BC Young Riders.
At the BC Young Riders annual awards dinner, in December, the rider with the most “8”s will receive a gold stock pin in the shape of an “8” with a diamond chip in it. A BCYR member can only win this aggregate award.
